    Your cameraphone must click!

New Law Will Require Camera Phones to 'Click'

While I don't really care, is there honestly a good reason for this? There's a heck of a lot of current phones this won't affect, a lot of high def, small cameras that won't click, and people will hack things anyway.

I read about people trying to get laws passed like this a few years ago. Basically, people are afraid of getting their picture taken in locker rooms, etc. without their knowledge.

          I agree with Recon.
I'm sure that people will find a way around this anyway. I mean if my phone went "click" every time i took a picture it would get real old real fast, esp when it takes pictures of the inside of my pocket.

Thats because we are so far advanced in retarded laws

I can change the "click" noise on my phone, standard camera click, cow mooing, bird chirp, bell...but there is no option to remove it.

There are plenty of kids who take pictures in class of their teachers, their friends...there are locker rooms and other inapropriate moments...

I don't think its that stupid of a law, but one that you can easily get around as there are many other cameras, almost as small, that don't make a click. And most cells have video...so whats next, the gentle constant sounds of whales mating while you record a video?
[this is where my funky sig would go. But I don't have one.
So all you get is this crappy text]

              incredibly vague article.

This is a joke and cannot be allowed in the US. It is a fact that you cannot manage freedom. In the US, if you go to a public place, you have to expect that you do not have the right to privacy. That includes when someone takes your picture.

Unfortunately, people seem to be going ape about this problem and are under the impression that a click will offer protection.

              New law where.
What law is it? Federal or State?
              What is the codification?
              Who proposed it?
              How was it ratified.

              Sounds like junk to me.

This law will be ineffective but I can see why people would want it. The only way it could be stopped is if there were some serious punishment maybe but to stop the "click"

Now we have had a lot of flooding in this area and there are still a lot of houses that have not been repaired. Must be the apocalypse.
