    GPU settings

Guys,I couldnt stand it. I went and got me a new card for this machine I'm on right now. Not too big a setup, but a marked improvement over what I had. This is what I got right now.

    Asus P5KPL mainboard
Intel Core 2 Duo 3.0 MHz.
    2Gb Kingston DDR2 PC2 6400 Ram
    Gigabyte/Nvidia 9800GT 1gb. vid card.

Thats the guts and the rest don really matter. What I had before was a different motherboard, CPU, and video card.

The performance loss was with the video card. Had an 8500gt maxed on the overclock. but it finally smoothed out.I knew it wasnt that good for it to be peaked out all the time and it ran a little hot. So the new video card was in order and it works great. Got it set at

    GPU 775
    Shader 1950
    Memory 935
    volt/ 1.15
    temp./ 44c

Those are stable and runnin an average of 80-90 fps. I could go higher on all of them but it has plenty of push at those as it is. And, Gigabyte had a nice Gamer HUD that came with the card, so the clocking was easy.

Now, my question is. What kind of card are you guys runnin and what kind of setting are you at if you have it overclocked. Just wanted to compare performance seein as how we all play the same games.

FWIW It's been a while since I gamed on my desktop but My GTS 640 was overclocked to just under Juneau's settings.

Now we have had a lot of flooding in this area and there are still a lot of houses that have not been repaired. Must be the apocalypse.
