One thing I've learned after toying with PCs for over 20 years is you can never eliminate a possibility, even though there appears to be no way to achieve it.I don't see how they would be able to do this without rewriting the BIOS.
Take for example this oddity: What if we woke up one day and found that Microsoft was giving away their newest Operating System for free ...
