Steam problems

Got this message after i downloaded the Steam app. and tried to run it. It tried to update and I got this message.

"Steam.exe(main exception): Unable to load library Steam.dll"

after I got that I did a search for the .dll file and i couldnt find it.

Anybody got any clues.

Did some Google research and it looks like my firewall could be the problem. Does anybody know what ports Steam uses. I have all my ports closed. and maybe need to exception the one that it uses.

I think the problem was with the place I was at. Changed locations.

It's taken me 2 days but I got 64% downloaded so far. hehe.. I have to be sneaky and do it in increments. Let it run a while and get a few more percent and shut it down before they bust me.

Good thing is, the Steam download manager picks up where you left off. Oh and one other thing. When I signed up for Steam last year they gave me DoD Source free at that time. Got halflife and one other one too. So Maybe by the end of the week I'll be in the game so everyone can up their scores a bit.
