Well, I wouldn't go that far... Some warranties cover accidental damage as well... which i've already had to use. The lexan covering the LCD screen on the back cracked in the wife's purse somehow... so i'll have to get it repaired... but thanks to my warranty it'll be covered.... and I only spent like $30 on the warranty.

Well.. I bought it.... Canon PowerShot SD780 IS. It is an amazing Camera! It was on the high end of my price range but I think its definitely worth it. 12.1M Px, 3x Optical Zoom (4x Digital), 720p Video (Very cool), 2.5" LCD Screen, View Finder, and some pretty decent preset settings. This is seriously one of the smallest ones I saw in the store in this category... it's actually smaller (and thinner) than my wallet (which isn't very thick ). I ended up getting the black version.

Actually the sales lady said it was a "pretty camera". While I might not agree with that it's definitely a nice looking camera.

I'll have to upload some pics once I get some free time. Thanks for all the input guys!

So I decided that it would be a good idea to take my camera along on a walk through the park... here is the result.

Here's a couple of pics I took with my new camera. It's a Pentax W60, 10Mpixel 5x optical zoom, waterproof to 13 ft for 2 hours and dustproof. I has a pretty neat feature where you can panoramic 3 shoots on the camera. I shows the previous pics small part of the edge to over lay on the next to help line it up and then processes the pics together. It was pretty kewl.

Now we have had a lot of flooding in this area and there are still a lot of houses that have not been repaired. Must be the apocalypse.
