    Why Linux is not (yet) Ready for the Desktop v0.2.2

    Don't agree with everything on there, but well thought out and some good points.

    Actually yeah I agree for most users I wouldn't bother unless it was a web client only. Most of his points are right on for a desktop use. However I don't run my linux box at home as a desktop. It's a server...It runs

    DNS server
    Gallery picture web host
    Wordpress blog site
    Subsonic java/tomcat web music streamer
    Logitech Squeezecenter server
    SSH server
    CIFS file sharing
    Home automation (x10 controls)
    etc...


    It runs very fast and extremely stable. In fact I dad 140 days of uptime and the only reason it went down at all was because of a 8 hour power outage that killed my ups.

    So no even I don't use it as a desktop. On my desktop and laptop I'll run cygwin if I need Unix like abilities.
