    Asus has new netbook/tablet

Asus Eee PC T91 Swivel-Screen Tablet Netbook - HotHardware

I actually think that this could be a very very cool/useful feature of netbooks if implemented properly and well. It could also be a reason for consumers to further adopt netbooks over a traditional laptop if marketed and implemented well.

I think that with the iPhone out there, and many other phones / blackberries now having touch screens, companies will be jumping on that market more and more. Is it the right thing to do? I dunno.

Other than graphic applications, I don't know what I'd use a touch screen for. I guess to replace a mouse and make navigation easier?

I'm looking into a netbook right now. I have a need with photography to have a portable hard drive with me to download pictures onto when on a shoot. I sometimes run out of space on my 16gbs of cards I bring with me...and if on a 3 week trip, I'm gonna need plenty of space.

Portable HDs with screens and such that allow for download via an SDHC run $400 here. Somethins like the Archos 7, which has 160gb of space.

So instead, I'd rather have more functionality with a netbook, even if its a bit bigger, for cheaper.
[this is where my funky sig would go. But I don't have one.
So all you get is this crappy text]
