    security camera?

Ok, so. I was wondering if this would be possible? I've got a computer that I was going to build to sell (just a little desktop for general web surfing ya know), and i've also got a small linksys webcam that I had gotten back in Tech school for Skype chatting with Kathy while I was away. Would it be possible to set these up as an outdoor security camera? Do they make like 30'-40' usb cables that I could use to get this thing where it would need to go? What sort of software would I need to record from this thing? Oh, the desktop would be stored in a small shed next to my carport and I can easily hide the cable so it would be noticeable.

For the USB cable like that you can make(have some1 else make) the cable call a manufacturer and ask them if it is at all possible to sell you a cable like that.

I've bought from this site before.

I purchased a 30 ft flat HDMI cable and was very happy with their prices and product.
