Win7 memory leaks in latest build - oops !

Welp, after all those glowing RC/beta reviews and statements that MS had finally gotten it right ... they got it wrong again:

Massive memory leaks under certain conditions threaten to delay its release.

Well I've got massive memory leaks under most conditions, so I'll withhold harsh judgment.

MS appears to be saying it's a load of bunk and that they can't duplicate it. Which doesn't necessarily mean it's not true or that MS isn't lying, but I'd hope not after the whole Vista problem set....

The industy demanded a higher memory usage, so that people buy more ram chips. That's all. Move along, nothing to see here...

Its still pre-release... geesh, why i never read these things I tell you...

know the amount of things I've coded, which had a lot of people using them,
that had memory leaks, or a flaw that caused it to die etc before it went final?

Why its called public testing, people outwith your trusted testing staff always think out of the box.

So its pretty obvious its going to have a fault,
its not the first or last thing thats in pre-release to have a great record for months on end,
then to suddenly get a nasty fault.

I'm not insane. I'm just overwhelming!
