Just got back from the MS event. Two frinds went along, Steve and our very own kingcboy. Even tho he did not have any paperwork, he could hang out and get on the waiting list to go to the morning session assuming they had seating.

Well, when I got to the counter, the MS guy tells me that I had signed up for the afternoon show, so I then would have to wait until 11:30 to even get in (show ended at 5:00 PM). Now keep in mind we were there at 8:15 for the AM show.


So both I and kingcboy sat and waited until everyone else was seated, then jumped in the waiting line and promptly got in. This was for the MS Developers, but it wasn't packed. After we got out, the IT Staff crowd was filling up the Imax theatre that it was held in, and the line was literally out the door !! We never would have got in to the afternoon event.

So we are on our way out of the theatre and a guy is going along the line handing out copies of Win7 Ult. They ask us to drop off our event tag and our questionnaire, and then another guy hands out ANOTHER copy of Win7 Ult. to kingcboy. I looked at the guy hoping for a second copy, but none was forthcoming .. drat ... freakin' doubledipper !!

chocolate cigar !! (gave to my wife)
pens/tablets/BAGELS !!

We then headed to Ikea and ate lunch, then walked around and bought a few things at Ikea. All in all a good day.
