Win7 released early in the UK

MS moved the release date forward by one day due to the immiment postal strikes we're about to face.

Cool, I can't wait to hear your experience. I am deciding which computer to upgrade. I'm tempted to install it on my laptop but I'm worried about issues related to the proprietary nature of it.

Win 7 is definitely worth it. And I've been using it for 4-5 months now. The only thing I think they screwed up is that they took Windows Movie Maker out. Which is pretty much the only good thing to come out of Vista. You can download one but it's stripped and has no HD support.

Been using it for around 4 hours now and i love it. Visually it's slightly different to Vista. However performance wise it's a lot snappier.

Found all of my drivers i needed except for my X-Fi (why am i not surprised?). It even installed my Nvidia Forceware driver without needing a reboot which was pretty cool.

Did you need new drivers for everything? I think that it may be hard to get them from Gateway for this laptop.

Most of the drivers come with the OS, but if they don't they're downloaded via windows update.
