Sooo.. if I was to buy it now, where would be the cheapest place to get the full version. I saw a 3 pack full version for around $540. is that good.

If that's the cheapest then i'd say don't bother lol. The 3 pack of HP is available here for ?130 (around $210).

Couldn't see the fine print; I was reading the ad scan online Saturday to see if there was anything worthwhile in DVD/music/games. Didn't even bother looking at the print version.

Not one single bug here that i've noticed. That article is just being cautious as you should with new software.

However to buy it now and then sit on it for 5 months? lol no thanks.

I have one program that I have to run in XP Mode. It is appraisal software. It runs great in XP SP3 Mode and I have not had one single problem with the OS.

I'll upgrade when nothing runs on Vista or XP. We have 3 pc's in the house and until I have to I won't.

I have had friends over the years that refused to upgrade, even when the new OS was obviously better.
                        Win 3.1 to 95... Refused.
Win 95 to Win 98.... Refused.
Win 98 to XP .... Refused.
                        Win ME to anything else......Refused.???????

Apache, what was their reason for not upgrading ???

I remember going to a LAN party in '98, and several guys were running the 'new' Windows 98, while the rest of us were stuck on Win 95. We looked at, thought, hmmm, a new splash screen. Wow.

I ran Win2k for many years and never wanted or felt the need to upgrade to XP. Geez, it wasn't until about 4 years ago that I actually built my first Win XP rig, and that was just to play Dungeon Siege II, which required XP just to play !

It all came down to $$ for me. When I either got the OS with the purchase of an off the shelf PC or I could get it from a friend (Win2k), that pretty much was my reason.

I'd rather invest $150 in an SSD or a mid level video card than the OS, but I never needed to be cutting edge. I just wanted it to play my games well.

They could all afford the cost. All of them make real good money and are willing to spend it.
                            Mostly they hate change.
Now lets face it, Win 95 was so much better than Win 3.1 that it should have been a no brainer.
Win 98, for me, fixed lots of problems from Win 95.
XP was the best at the time it was released and the proof is in how long it is lasting.
But, to keep ME over anything else available is just insane. I would have switched to Apple before I would run ME.
