Not to open a can of worms here and I can't really talk about windows seven but, generally Windows has the most exploits because it does have the most market share and in most of the default installs it has a ton of services running that are not needed. For example the remote registry editing service. WTF does any home user need that running?
It's obvious that this dude is a Mac fanboy. The only thing that makes Macs tolerable is the fact that it's an unholy union between nextstep and freebsd. There are some good stuff on macs don't get me wrong.
I generally prefer a UNIX OS for most of my hacking or network testing or running a network server of some type. Mostly because the majority of tools are written for UNIX and it has a very robust scripting environment. Also you can tweak the network stack like crazy. Stuff you can't even do on windows but, it tends to be obscure
For gaming Windows wins hands down. The level of cheap high performance hardware and developers just crushes anything else.
Mac are ok I suppose. Mostly they piss me off because when ever I try to do something thinking it's just a friggin UNIX box I end up tripping over some damn weird Mac crap. It's similar enough just to piss me off. Over all though I generally don't have problem with them. If your used to that environment then wtf do I care.
Incidentally I've been trying to get a bunch of damn macminis to work in a nfs stress testing environment. Had to find some way to disable the NFS locking on em. What a pain. They also don't do DFS referrals which sucks. My wifes company uses macs. Luckily they just use Samba (cifs) for file sharing so it's not a problem for me to setup printing or filesharing at home for em.

If it weren't for games, I would run Linux on all my PCs.
Pretty much, same here.
