    Logitech Wireless Mouse

I had recently purchased a Logitech Wireless Mouse (20 bucks). I think I've had it for a month so far.....and just now....it would just stop working....I would plug in and replug in the USB port for it....still no response

Then I took the batteries out, and put them back in again.

    It worked after that

2 times it did this SO far.....(since last night)

They package came with it's own stock Duracell Batteries.....but you think the batteries are wearing down?

Considering I have this on 24/7?

You might try new batteries before you ask our opinion. You do not know how old the batteries are that were supplied with the mouse.

      Are the batteries rechargeable?

No....I just replaced them with Energizer batts....so far it's been working, did a little search online.....seems people are recommending the NiMH Recharchable batteries for wireless mouses since they're used so much.

I have had good luck Duracell rechargeable batteries. I use them in a digital camera. They don't last forever and they are expensive but I still think that in the long run it will cost less.

Get two sets of batteries and while you are using one set leave the other set in the charger to stay fully charged. That's what I used to do.

I would also suggest putting a mark on the different sets with a Sharpie this way if they they get mixed up you can tell how old they are.

Dont leave them in the charger, its not good for them.
Always run them close to empty then fully recharge them.
The amount of charge they loose while waiting for your other set do go low isnt that much.

It depends on the type of charger you have. There are some that allow you to leave them in, even when fully charged, until you need them.
Rechargeable batteries will lose there charge, over time, if allowed to sit. My recharging base will trickle charge them until I need them

Now we have had a lot of flooding in this area and there are still a lot of houses that have not been repaired. Must be the apocalypse.
