    Help!

I installed the upgrade version of Win7 on my laptop. The installation program said that there would be an option to change partitions but I didn't see it. Now I have an installation that is on top of the old bloated crap and the unwanted partition is still there. Is there a way for me to format this thing then reinstall the upgrade version?

I have only heard of adding partitions after instsllation. The only way I know of removing them is to reformat. But I'm not that computer savvy.

Well I figured it out. The key is to launch it from the DVD drive that you can get to option that will allow you to delete partitions. So I was able to do that and I have a fresh install of Windows 7.

Did it activate ok? Some of the other guys were talking about it giving them trouble when installing fresh from the upgrade media.

That is a concern I'm having. During the install I put in my code and checked the activation box and so far so go. We will see what happens in the future. Now I just need to figure out how to get my Itunes back on this computer.

Usually I've been lucky by installing iTunes and copy the iTunes folder from my old drive to the same location on my new one. Of course if you had it set to a custom location for the library then you can use the same one if available on the new setup.

I have mine on the default in vista under the Music\iTunes folder.
On my XP I have it on my data drive in a customer folder.

Activation doesn't actually occur for several days.

So hopefully it is going to activate for you.

You can force it to activate right away too.

Yhea guys I did force it to activate and i keep checking the status and it still says activated so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

I did manage to screw up my Itunes though. It wont let me activate it until I deactivate it. I will look into it tomorrow but any ideas would be appreciated.

Now we have had a lot of flooding in this area and there are still a lot of houses that have not been repaired. Must be the apocalypse.
