    Video Card Upgrade

    Well it is time for me to upgrade my VC as it is outdated with the rest of my rig... I was looking at the card below but would like ur thoughts on the card.

    Is it worth it??

        I currently Have:

        BFG Tech - BFG NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTX OC2 768MB PCIe


        I payed $750 for it when it first came out

          Nope. If you going to spend some big cash right now there is ONLY 2 choices ATI 5870 And upcoming 5970 which is dual 5850..

            That card is for a water cooled system. I do not remember, is your system water cooled?

                  Thx for the suggestions. I've always been Nvidia and a little skeptical of switching over. Is ATI the way to go these days?

                    Well until the new DX11 generation from Nvidia so called Fermi come this is the best card on the market. I am NV fen myself , but i aways buy whats fastest.

                      Problem right now is actually finding any 5xxx series card, they are seemingly gone minutes after they are shown in stock.

                      I do agree that dx11 is the way to go though. Plus, BC2 is supporting dx11!!

                              Great advice. Even if you don't buy what's fastest just buy the best for your money. There's no use in brand loyalty when it comes to hardware as there's always a 50% chance you'll buy the wrong option and end up with less for your money.
