    Eclipse II kb question

I've been enjoying my Saitek Eclipse II kb for a little while but there is one major bug I'd like to get resolved. The PC won't recognize the kb during startup (like if PC had abnormal shutdown and after restarting the menu comes up: start in safe mode, or normal mode etc). I can't use any of the keys to select a menu.

What would I do if I needed to run Windows in safe mode. After a restart followed by F8 or delete key it will bring you to that menu, but in that menu my kb does not work. Any help with this?

Go into the BIOS and look around for an option worded as 'enable USB legacy support' or possibly 'USB BIOS keyboard support'.

Also know that older BIOS version do not adequately support it regardless of what you change it to, and you sometimes cannot get it to work even if it SHOULD.

Honestly, my Saitek doesn't work in the BIOS so I keep a PS2 kb handy just in case.

yep I still have my original logitech PS2 one. But I just thought it would be a pain if I couldn't access menus outside of the desktop world....

My Saitek v1 works fine in the BIOS. However i did have to enable USB as BIOS controlled and not OS. You'd think BIOS would be the standard tbh.

          What WT said.

Most BIOSes should have USB Legacy support enabled by default, but it wouldn't surprise me if some did not, especially older ones.

Now we have had a lot of flooding in this area and there are still a lot of houses that have not been repaired. Must be the apocalypse.
