I post this in the lab because I believe this phone is worthy to be in the computer lab.

I got the new HTC Hero for Christmas and I have to say I was a little cautious at first, but now all I can say is WOW.

This has to be the first line of phones, the android type that is, that should be getting apple a little worried. I actually like this phone better than the iPhone. Which is what I was hoping for but not expecting.
The applications are plentiful and the phone is awesome with the feature and the way you can customize it over and over.
The scheme feature is cool as heck and the integration with google, calendar, contacts, etc is currently unmatched.
I just found out tonight once I had my contacts import into google calendar I can now associate each contact with a FB account and have their information pulled into my phones contacts, picture, latest FB status, etc. That is a big wow factor.

This is good news, does Verizon have one? Loosing my Itunes when i upgraded to Win 7 on my laptop has ruined my I touch experience. I have been waiting for a decent option.

Verizon doesn't have the Hero but the Have the Droid which in all intents and purposes is the same thing. I have a friend a work that got the droid when it came out and just loves it.

Looking at the information on the Droid you can see, display wise, that it's pretty much the same except the hardware specifics. If I was with verizon and wanted an iPhone/iTouch competition I would definitely consider this over all others.

It says that I have to deactivate my computer before I can activate it. The problem is that I can't deactivate it. I had formatted the HDD btw and I had thought that I could just get the stuff from the device.

I just got a droid on the 23rd. Best phone I have ever had.
