    What if the Camera's res

Is better than your own eyeballs rez?

I thought of this, there's no selling point as camera's keep coming out at higher rez.s.....when you're own eyeballs can't even go that high, right?

    Typicall George Carlin joke....lol

The limitations that cameras have is that their megapixel counts are only good if you enlarge the image. A 4mp camera can take amazing images if you are only viewing them on a monitor.

If you want to print it and keep a high enough resolution so that you can print large, you need very high resolution. And even then, its not as large or wide as the human eye can see.

So its all relative in terms of the size of the image you are viewing.

And I believe that digital cameras have not yet (or just barely) passed the "megapixels" that film offers
[this is where my funky sig would go. But I don't have one.
So all you get is this crappy text]

Its apparently like a 16 megapixel camera.

However, it has a aperture opening of what, 2 meters?

Its all about resolution of the image and not magnification.
I read that its effective practical magnification (based on all factors) is approx 4700x. So you can get a clear image at 4700x magnification. Some say that the actual full magnification is 8000x, but the image isn't sharp

You would need this as a carrying case.

            And the good news:
Nasa puts Discovery space shuttle up for sale for ?17.7m

But you will still need a rather large bank balance to purchase the Discovery Space Shuttle, which is being sold off by Nasa for $28.2 m (?17.7m).

The soon-to-be redundant shuttle was the ultimate boy's toy, flying faster and higher than any other machine in history. It was originally worth $42 million (?25.8 m) but the price has plummeted to take in the cost of hauling the monster from the Kennedy Space Centre to a major US airport.
Discovery, which has completed 37 missions into space and 5,247 orbits, has already been promised to the Smithsonian Institution's National Air and Space Museum, but shuttles Atlantis and Endeavour are still available, the Independent reports.

Nasa is considering mulling the possibility of putting Enterprise, a shuttle prototype that never made it to space, on sale.

Nasa decided to sell the shuttles ahead of their retirement later this year. They are set to be replaced by the new Ares 1-X rocket, which is due to take over all manned space flights in 2015.

If the new price is still too daunting, an even bigger bargain comes in the shape of the shuttle's engines - no longer required once the craft is in a museum. The agency offered them for sale at between $400,000 and $800,000, but there were no takers. They are now offering them free, to anyone with the ability to take them home.

I would love a shuttle. Pity they're being decomissioned. There's something about their plane like shape that makes them so much more interesting than standard rockets.

I can just see the craigslist ad now....free shuttle engines. I cannot help you move them so bring help.

Heck I'm tempted to go and take em
