    AHCI for SDD?

    Hi guys!

If all goes well, my new SDD (Intel X25M G2 Postville, 80 GB) will be here tomorrow. I have read that a SDD is faster when AHCI is enabled before installing the OS (Win7 in my case). I have also heard that the system is likely to become unstable.

So has anyone experience with this? Is it worth the hassle? - I prefer a lower HDD score over a Blue Screen of Death...

I haven't really heard anything bad about AHCI. I thought its use was widely accepted on Intel chip-sets
