    Restoring issues... plz help

I have just reinstalled Vista on a new hard drive and I want to get a backup file from an external HDD but I can't get restore to use that file all it says is that there are no backup files.

The RAID that I was having issues with says rebuilding in BIOS but wont show up in windows so i need to install some drivers?

if you are using the files and settings wizard the new install needs to be at the same service pack level as the old install.

Long time no see, Drunken... I guess after the 73 updates are done I may be able to accomplish this. I was also able to get the Nivida RAID tool to recognize the array that caused this whole mess an I just may be able to recover all those pictures that my wife wants back.

BTW I remember your super clean wire management in the PC you showed pictures of that has that has inspired me to keep a clean case.

I wish my case could be clean...Ive sat there for hours trying to organise everything...the good thing is my PSU is all plug ang play, so I can unplug the wires I dont need from it and put them in the box to save room...all the wires in my rig are being used and it looks like this

That's fine Zan, now get you some of these and start organizing your cables. Remember not to pull the cables too tight and keep them along the edges the best you can.

Well after upgrading to SP2 I was able to restore to a point that was just before the holidays which will salvage many of the photos that were lost.

Now we have had a lot of flooding in this area and there are still a lot of houses that have not been repaired. Must be the apocalypse.
