    STEAM on Macs

As well as games published by Valve.

Gamasutra - News - Valve Confirms Mac Versions Of Steam, Valve Games

Are we seeing new life for Macs? I still think they're overpriced for what you get out of the experience, but I understand there's a lot of people who like them for the same reason, the experience and guarantee of X features.

If I am reading this correctly
With games that support "Steam Play," including Valve's own games, players can install both PC and Mac versions and load up either one on their respective computers. Those games also support cross-platform Steam Cloud use, retaining settings and save games regardless of system.
I'd be able to play online with my bud with his Mac...which would be very cool because I haven't used my PS3 he convinced me to buy so we could game for about 15 months, lol.

I think this is fantastic news for the PC gaming community. Macs are popular, especially amongst people who love taking their computers on-the-go. Now that Mac users will be able to join in on the fun without any extra effort we should see an increase in players. It won't make up for the people absorbed by consoles in recent years, but hey, it's something.

Now we have had a lot of flooding in this area and there are still a lot of houses that have not been repaired. Must be the apocalypse.
