Yes they do. Which is why I'm trusting them. It's a bit unrealistically low isn't it?

The CPU temp is in Celcius... 25 deg C = 77 deg F

What are your temps at load? The new CPUs are cooler then what you are used to but they get warm when you kick in 8 threads of prime with HT enabled.

I didn't really load it yet, or maybe ever. But when Microsoft did the testing thing it reached about 34C, but MS goes easy on components. Like me

You should really burn it in before you use it long term.

Here are a few links that have to do with burn in and overclocking.

How to Overclock the I7 (Ported)

              Free Software - GIMPS
LinX - A simple Linpack interface - XtremeSystems Forums
              EVGA | EVGA's E-LEET Tuning Utility | EVGA's E-LEET Tuning Utility
Real Temp - CPU temperature monitoring
              http://www.overclock.net/downloads/138142-orthos.html

This will run your video card while you run prime so you can really test out your cooling.

lol I don't wanna kill it! I'm fine with it stock-clocked! Let me enjoy it before trying to make it self-destruct and burn my house down.

3.2 is a no brainer but the reason I posted all those is that you can use many of those tools to make sure there are no issues with your hardware burning in your parts now will ensure that you have done it correctly.

Isn't TJ Max a department store?

Guess BIOS is wrong? That's interesting. Pretty normal temps I guess.

I think there are different sensors.

Realtemp measures the temperture from the Die Sensor (actual temperature). The temperature reading in the BIOS is from elsewhere in the chip. Probably the IHS.

Now we have had a lot of flooding in this area and there are still a lot of houses that have not been repaired. Must be the apocalypse.
