    Need a new GPU

Need a new GPU for BFBC2.

I need to make sure it is Nvidia. My CAD system does not like the ATI cards, and I make my living off of that, so no choice there.

    I'd like to keep it $200 or much less. I run a 22" monitor with a 1680 x 1050 res.

I don't have to turn on all the bells and wistles on the game but High detail is desired.

Looking at the MSI 250GTS 1GB for about $140 pretty seriously.

also thinking about the MSI GTX260 for $200.

I know the GTX260 is better, but if the GTS250 can play it just fine, I'm good then.

    Thoughts? Opinions?

I may be able to sell you my GTX 275 for $200.00 I just need to get home and be sure that my SLI setup is working properly before I part with it.

My last build I thought of getting a GTX285. However it wasn't available. So I decided to get a EVGA Superclocked GTX260 and wait for the Fermi to get out. After trying it out for about 3 weeks now, I don't think I'll upgrade. It plays BC2 on 720p with about 120FPS constant. I bet AA will bring it down but it looks pretty amazing right now.

I think you should look into that issue before buying a new card imo.

I have the 260, everything I've played runs great with it... was worth the money. On sale at best buy for about $200 I beleive when I got last October-ish. It really didn't get a work out until BC2 and it runs that great.

If you don't get Duke's card I would go with the 260. But Duke's card is a better deal.

Definetly problems with ATI cards with the CAD system, get artifacting and such with the open GL. They should be compatible, but every user that has tried ATI returned it and went back to Nvidia.

            Otherwise I'd be buying one.

I'm serious about selling mine if you can wait a week or two. It was new in November and works great.

So you're saying that no ATI card works with CAD? That is some serious issue. Which CAD? Auto?

for what its work, THE programs my dad uses have the SAME problems. Solidwerks for example seems to have issues with any class of ATI cards. he uses the Quadro or Quadro gaming equivelents for proper work.

Yep, same issue here. One user had said that on his system an ATI card causes the software to crash. Graphics/Cost/& Power wise I'd like to go ATI. But it just looks to risky.

Now we have had a lot of flooding in this area and there are still a lot of houses that have not been repaired. Must be the apocalypse.
