    Reinstalling Windows

A friend needs to reinstall windows 7 on his laptop. He had downloaded the upgrade version and has a key but no disk. What are his options other then me lending him my disk in a week when I go back to work.

Is the problem that it is an upgrade version?
If so, you can do a clean install with just the upgrade version. See: Clean Install Windows 7 with Upgrade Media

EDIT: For some reason this thread is showing as closed, dunno if Duke did it or who.

Maybe I hit something by accident.

Didn't he save a back up copy after he downloaded it?

Some flash drives are bootable. I had my windows disk on a flash drive, mounted the image elsewhere, burned it to disk, and did that.
