Did you do this just to see if you could, or is this one of those "OMFG, I have do this AGAIN!" sanity saver deals?
At work we have 25 Quad Core Opteron Machines. Each with 16 GB ram. Each runs Ubuntu Server and VMware Server 2.0. On each machine VMware runs 16 Debian Linux VM's or 10 Vista VMs. (not too mention we have 200 rack mount 1U systems running Linux or Windows). Manually fixing problems on 450 computers is not an option. So I figured a way to boot em over the network and install the OS with the exact config we need. The VMware VM's were kinda a pain because I'd have to reconfigure the VM's and then boot and install over the network. Now if I have problems I can re ghost the VMware server and then run this script and walk away. Because the Linux system install from a local mirror the time it takes me to completely re install a Vmware server and it's 16 Debian Linux VMs is..

    10 Minutes for ghosting
    15 minutes automated script

    Thats pretty rockin

You would probably have to know 2000 Kanji plus Hiragana and Katakana (both are phonetic languages) to be able to read Japanese Newspapers, signs and labels. When you write Kanji, stroke order and direction are extremely important.
And to think, we only have to learn 26 letters.

She might have been at 12,000 (or could be 16,000...heck I can't remember...I even remember the figure of 28,000 coming up, but don't know if that was someone she knew or...)...like I said, my memory is not that great for numbers, names and figures (except, well...nevermind) and I didn't want to exaggerate. The other ones I dated I didn't ask about kanji.

Not bad mapes. Just curious though, why did you opt to have it static on 16 lines in the iplist instead of making it dynamic so you could be flexible with more or less vms and use the same script?

The answer is prolly cause I'm new to scripting and it gets the job done. The reson I have to specify a static IP is so I can PXE boot. Your right I should have included all of that in the loop

Now we have had a lot of flooding in this area and there are still a lot of houses that have not been repaired. Must be the apocalypse.
