Don't you *pew pew pew* me !! Did you even look at that PSU ?? Its GREEN !! I didn't send you on a wild goose chase for that GREEN fan controller for nothing, son !!
Here's the existing stuff:
2x 80mm green case fans
green CCFL tube
Vantec fan controller (green dials)
Stuff to add:
Ultra X-Connect 500w PSU (Green)
7950 GX2 (green LED lights in fan)
See a common denominator here yet ??
FYI, this is my *BLING BLING* rig, built more for looks than anything else, so you take your lil *pew pew pew* and go play elsewhere.

Yanno, I hadn't counted, but this is the third Ultra PSU that I'm running. I agree that I wouldn't use them on my 'power' builds, but you try and find a green PSU somewhere and then get back to me.
Bad thing is, my Cold Cathode tube burned out (I found this out last night in fact) and after seeing some of the damage that the power invertors can do on those cheap units, I have decided to possibly scrap the CCFL tube and look for other lighting sources.
If anyone finds anything that puts off some green light, lemme know. So far I've seen some LED tubing that seems rather faint, but I don't have to worry about my rig catching on fire either !

Pounds indicated a bit of shipping for me, so if you can find that on this side of the pond, I'll go for it.
Duke, nice find ! I was actually looking at a string of the LEDs in a flexible tube type shape that bends to fit wherever you want it to go .. in my case it'd go in the top of the case tucked into the corners to shed light downwards.
In all honesty, I bet I put only 12 hours total on my now dead CCFL tube, so I've decided the cheap crap isn't safe enough to put in a box.

Update:
Anyone that knows me will tell you that I cannot wait to play with new hardware, so even though my 380w PSU in the rig being upgraded (Antec 380w w/ 24v on the +12 rail) is technically not up to snuff to run the 7950 card (specs say 28v on the +12 and a 450w PSU), I simply had to try it, so after swapping out the 7900GS in that rig, I ran a quick 3dMark06 benchmark to see what happened.
The Antec is holding up its end of the bargain, and the 7950 is a HUGE increase over the 7900GS, so I'm happy.
Two more upgrades in the next two weeks to go yet; an Ultra 500w PSU (only 28v on the +12, which is a 15% improvement on the Antec, but it does match my color scheme) and an AMD Black Edition 5000+ CPU that should up those numbers significantly.
In all fairness, the 7900GS is a screaming overclocked card, but with the newer Nvidia drivers Coolbits is disabled, so this card is running bone stock when in actuality it can hang within 15% of my old 7900GT card.

Now here's a bit of a shocker ... I went to see whether I had to register the 7950 card via eVGA's website and found that it had already been registered and the old 7900GT removed from my profile.
Now, here's the kicker .. it is showing as 82 days left to use eVGA's Step Up program, so they have registered it as a new card !! If Nvidia does come out with a new card by March, I can then upgrade to that card and send the 7950 back in for full price (in my case, $349.99 since I bought it with mainboard bundle).
I see DigiTimes is reporting a mid-range Nvidia launch of the G94 cards in February, but that is not the higher end model. I did check on an upgrade to the 8800GTX card, and that would run me $200, which is just a bit too much for me. Assuming a new launch in Spring '08 drops the price a bit, I may revisit the GTX upgrade option.
Thank you yet again eVGA !
