    Malware Malware Bytes FREE ver

I was reading this on the MalwareBytes FB Feed

Removal instructions for My Security Shield - Malwarebytes Forum

If you see at the bottom.....

As mentioned before the full version of Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware could have protected your computer against this threat.
We use different ways of protecting your computer(s):

    * Dynamically Blocks Malware Sites & Servers
    * Malware Execution Prevention

Save yourself the hassle and get protected.

I have the FREE version, according to some people....that FREE works just FINE for them.

(Don't mean to scold you guys)

You mean to tell me since I only got the FREE version, I would have no defense against this particular Malware?

No surprise there, companies with free and pay versions of software usually keep the free one crippled, less updated or remove the parts that actually do any good.

Its possible you still have protection against it, there is no 'the free version does not' in there, its all 'the full one does'.
I'm lucky my pcs here dont get this kind of thing, I stopped cleaning up after the users here and started telling them off.

I'd rather they did not put them on, than have to clean up all the time.
The saying 'if you dont know what it is, dont poke it' works for pcs to you know,
and the best protection against malware etc is users who are told about them.

I'm not insane. I'm just overwhelming!

We tried that tactic with Tony, but he just likes to poke things too often .... dunno what else to do
Oh if a man tried to take his time on Earth and prove before he died what one man's life could be worth, well I wonder what would happen to this world ? - Harry Chapin
