    One sweet joystick.

This is a pricey beast but controls like this would add a whole new experience to the flight sim and may even get me to go out and and get both the sim and this expensive joystick.

I'd spend $500 just for the name "Thrustmaster".

But seriously, that is sweet. I'd almost be one of those guys who TK to be the pilot of the choppers in BadCompany if I had that.

I used to be addicted to flight sims. Are there any out now that would warrant that stick?

I was addicted to the very first MS flight sim back when I was a teenager and I may have bought a few since but once I started flying for a living I got away from them. The newest ones are quite amazing and from what friends tell me they are quite accurate too but I don't now if there is one out there that would simulate the combat of an A-10.

I used to love combat flight sims. Not sure if X-wing or Tie Fighter really count, but I loved playing both of those games. I had an F-15 one too that was good. Do they still do fight sims?

I hear you Rico. I think it a travisty that there aren't more and better flight sims out there. Microsoft was the one of the only ones who had semi ok sims and I say only semi ok. I'm waiting for something more fully immersive. Flight sim 2004 and Flight sim X were ok but you can only fly from point a to point b with not much to do in between but look at the scenery. And Combat flight sim was the opposite. Just a bunch of air battles and bombing without any great graphics. Not much in the way of online flight anymore either. Microsoft has bailed out and we need another to take their place.

I would love to see a sort of cross between the two. Where you could not only pick the aircraft you wanted to fly but go back to any point in time or any place. Both combat and leisure flying. And not just be stuck in a plane. Be able to walk around on the ground to see the sights when you get there. Maybe drive a car or boat, moving aircraft carriers, skydiving, wingsuit flying, ect. are all possibilities. And be able to do it online with customizalbe avatar characters. Pilot and co-pilot/engineer as well as ATC possibilities are there. Space flight to orbit or to the moon or even to other planets. I don't know if computers are there yet but we could start heading in that direction.

Now we have had a lot of flooding in this area and there are still a lot of houses that have not been repaired. Must be the apocalypse.
