    Wow, Comcast is pretty generous

As a customer, they're giving away Norton Internet Suite a 160 value free to its customers, among other things, got a notice in my email.

    Anyone get this?

    Also something called "Constant Guard"

    Is this worth getting?

I wish ISPs would let you configure a firewall on their end of the pipe.

I don't even bother with Norton these days. I clean off tons of infected PCs with Symantec, Norton, whatever they want to call it, installed.
They are known as an antivirus app, not an antispyware app, and the two need to be treated separately, because they are NOT the same.

In the good old days, you'd get a virus that would wipe your drive, and that was it ! End of discussion. your data is gone. But there was no way to propagate and infect others. No way to make $$ from it either.
These days, its all about stealth, and hiding your presence on an infected PC. Grab credit card info, bank account logins, and THAT is where the $ is made.

Even the WinAntivirus 2010 fake antivirus software would give you a list of infected files and offer to clean your PC once you bought the $50 PAID version of their app.

That's my 2 cents on this one ... I'll go for MSE and Malwarebytes for free before I install Norton/Symantec !
