I picked up my Core I7-930 at Micro Center in Houston for $199.00. It was in store pickup so it wont help any of you who aint close to Houston or one of the other stores.

Just thought it was a good price.

Also revised some of the items.

Ram - G.Skill 6GB

CPU - I7-930

CPU Cooling - Corsair Hydro CH50

Video Card - old GTX 275 (decided to wait to see if they straighten out the temp issues with the 480's or they come down in price. )

Hard Drive - WD Caviar Black 7200 750GB

Case - XCLIO Wind Tunnel Full Tower

DVD Drive - LG 24x

Card Reader - Rosewill 7-1

Temp Monitor Fan Controller - NZXT Sentry 5.25 touch screeen

Mouse - old G5 ( cant complain about it and it works just fine)

Keyboard - old keyboard I picked up in Thailand. has a low profile and keys like a laptop. I love it.

OS - Windows 7 Home Premium 64

Thermal paste - Arctic Silver 5


Stuff is supposed to be here tomorrow so I hope to be up and running by the weekend at least. And I was hoping some of the bugs would have work arounds by that time.

Your back in the US? welcome back home 2 things. 1,Wait for Friday sales or all those Black Friday sales. 2nd, GTX 480 will not have its temp corrected. GTX 580 is offically out and its supposedly cooler and quiet with all 512 cores Check out the reviews for the GTX 580 around the web.

Ya the 580 is the second time nvidia have gone back and redesigned an older chip, making it cooler running and increasing its speed. 8800 series was last 1 i remember, was the G92 chip.
