As long as they are in your Itunes library you can just reload them. I have restored mine several times with no incedent. You shouldn't lose any thing.

OK. Now what if i get an error that says I have to deactivate it on another machine even though it's on the same machine. This happened after I upgraded to Windows 7.

I believe once you log into ITunes you can deautorize the "other" machine somewhere in the settings. Something like this happend when my wife's laptop crashed and I installed a new operation system. All her stuff seemed gone but we did get it back.

*edit* Just reread and saw that you upgraded to windows 7, I just reinstalled the original operating system. I'm guessing the upgrade makes Itunes think the account is on a different machine.

In an attempt to activate my other computer and sync with it my I lost all the music I had on there as you can't re download music, I hope Steve Jobs catches some kind of non life threatening STD today.

I guess I will have to call the fanboys over at the apple store around here and see what they can do.

I always back my music up to another hard drive. Also, I have a Zune.

Lol, I have an Ipod touch and a Zune. I only have aps and movies on my Itouch. And use my Zune strictly for music.

Now we have had a lot of flooding in this area and there are still a lot of houses that have not been repaired. Must be the apocalypse.
