Zune questions.

I'm think about getting a Zune MP3 player and I have a few questions.

1. Does the Zune software have to change my entire music library to it's format?

2. Are there plenty of as out there? I need a nice Sudoku app as well as a calculator that is easy to access.

3. Is the device as good quality as the Itouch? The Itouch is zippy ans sleek I would want it's replacement to be a s well.

Any additional input would be appreciated.

One other question, is there a good equalizer?

I have a 120 gb Zune. I like it and have not had any problems with mine.
1. You do not have to change your music to it's format. It will ask you if you want to make it the default player on your computer. I declined.
2. I do not have any apps on my Zune. That's what my iphone is for.
I have just music and pod casts on mine.
3. The quality is as good as Apple's. As I said, mine has been trouble free. And I use it constantly.
I use it in my truck, and I use it at work to play my music through my Bose Radio.
I recommend that you get one that is larger than you think you might need.
Right now I have 70 gigs of music on mine. Andf it grows as I add albums to it.

I would love more capacity but the budget will only allow for this one that has 32Gb.

Zunes are great not as many apps as itunes but enough to meet your needs, i really like the scroll down feature on the sune vs the wheel, but alas i have an ipod touch now because it was free(xmas 2yrs ago)

Duke I have that Zune and an Itouch 4th gen. I use the Zune strictly for music because i think it sounds better and I think the zune interface on the pc is way better than Itunes.

On my Itouch I use it for movies and aps. I love keeping my pdf manuals for all my pc equipment on it.

Thanks for the input guys, I just bought the 32Gb ZuneHD for 209. After I sell my Itouch to my son for $100.00 it will be within my budget. I'm glad to hear that you like the way it sounds for music because that will be its primary purpose.

Hopefully I can fin a calculator and a Sudoku ap that will fit my needs then everything else will be done with my Droid phone.

While looking for accessories I found it on amazon for 174.00 so I may return this one.

Well the Zune was too slow for what needed so I returned it to BB and picked up a 32Gb Itouch. It was 269 on their website so i figured it would be acceptable. Now I have to go back to using Itunes... To hell with Steve jobs and his slick hardware.

Yeah that's the one I have, the camera for video is pretty amazing for such a small device. Stills not so much. I have the Justin.tv app and its pretty cool you can live stream video from it.
