Nice gaming headsets???

It shows up in the windows screen as being plugged in but I can't get it to record and it does work on my laptop.

I gave that a try to no avail. My new headset was delivered yesterday and I can't wait to get home on Monday and plug it in, I hope I will be able to use that and my speakers without too much hassle.

I use speakers with my headset, I just go into control panel and switch to desktop speakers. You can just unplug the transmitter from the usb port too.

I use the Microsoft Lifechat LX-3000 headset. It is USB but has volume/mute controller on the cord. Feels great and is a very stable design

Well I have been using the Logitech G930 for a couple of days and I'm very happy with it. It sounds great and I really like not having to unplug I when I run to the fridge. When I want to use the speakers all I have to do is unplug the USB stick and the speakers kick in. Thanks for all the input.

That's cool Duke, it is really cool not being tethered. I was really surprised by the sound quality too. A couple of times I actually flinched from some sounds like sniper fire whizzing past my head lol.

I have dicovered another cool feature with this headset, when you flip the mic up the mic is muted and a red LED on the mic lets you know it muted.

Another cool thing is you can turn the front speakers down and keep the rears up to really hear someone sneaking up behind you.

If it wasn't for gift certificates and Bestbuy having them on sale I'd still be using a set of tin cans lol.
