    Its tough enough on enthusiasts, but think about companies like Dell or HP that could have had a thousand or so PCs boxed up and ready to go.

        I just ran across this article about Gigabytes plans for the bad boards.

        Gigabyte has become the first motherboard maker to let us know about its plans to replace Sandy Bridge motherboards afflicted by the 6-series chipset flaw. Folks who bought affected boards will be entitled to a full refund or a replacement. Interestingly, Gigabyte recommends the former.

                I couldn't agree more. By then the new Intel 22nm chips will be out along with AMD's offerings.
