This looks promising but I'm kind of clueless when it comes to the specs n these. It looks like the Thunderbolt will be available mid Feb. Do we have anyone here who knows these specs and will theses blow my wife's soon to be bought iphone 4?

Anyway if there is anyone that knows about the specs on mobile devices and how they all compare speak up.

I have a Droid X and love it....looks like the HTC Thunderbolt is going to be pretty close, but make use of the 4G LTE network which the Droid X does not/will not. I've heard good things about HTC as well.

I'd definitely go with it over an iPhone, depending on when it releases, the only competitor in my opinion will be if the Droid X 2 from Motorola is out yet or not.

I read somewhere that they are having battery life issues with it but I bet they will work them out just in time to bump up the 4g price, for now they are offering the 4g at the same price as the 3g which is driving me toward the Thunderbolt which will be out on the 14th.

I personally am looking forward to the bionic.
DDR2 memory, 540x960 resolution, and that big 1930mAh battery are enough to make me want to upgrade.

Well the wifey stood in line for 15 minutes this morning to get her iphone, she was 21st in line I took this opportunity to call her a geek for doing so.

I will be getting the Thunderbolt and we will compare the two. She has concerns of having to use Itunes to get her content off her phone so that may be a deal breaker for her. Now has long as this thing runs my aps smoothly I will be happy if it has any issues I will return it and wait for the Bionic.

I am currently using an iPhone 3G, and I hate having to use Itunes. Also, if you want to add a custom ringtone it is a total pain in the ass. I will not be getting another iPhone. My contract is due in about a month, and I plan on getting an Android phone, hopefully with 4G.

Cool, I will need some info as time goes on so my wife can get a full idea of any annoyances of the Iphone because her annoyances will become annoyances.

I'm such a a Luddite. Since I sit in front of a computer all day and (sometimes most nights) I've canceled my data plan. The only I'd use it for is looking up a number occasionally through the browser. I've found it's just cheaper for me to pay for a 411 call every once in a while then to pay 30 bucks a month for data.

I have the Android Xperia....great phone with 8.1 megapixel camera on it...only thing is battery life. If you have BT or Wifi on the phone is dead in 3hrs
