Great, thanks. I'm looking forward to your review. I'll probably go by VZW store this weekend to hold/play with one, then order it online if your review is good and I like it.

          I like it so far,

          The good.

Big and beautiful screen superior to the current Iphones.
Responsive screen but not quite as smooth as my itouch, almost there though.
Phone calls sound better then the did on my Devour.
Is not has big as I thought it was going to be and is lighter then my Devour which makes it easy to carry around.
It is fast, both the act of switching between apps and running the apps themselves are no problem for this thing. (My Devour struggled with this giving it a poky feel)

          The bad

The text messages don't look as nice as they do with the MotorBlur or the Iphone interface. I miss the colored text bubbles.

I have not had a chance to fully test the battery yet but if this thing is used with a lot of stuff on then it could be a problem. Out of the box it was a %50 and while setting up at my home I plugged it in a USB port. This involved a lot of downloading and testing out out the live wallpapers etc etc.. during this time the battery did not charge and the phone died. I then charged it while I ran an errand, it was plugged into the supplied 120V USB converter plug for an hour, this gave it around %80.

I then decided to give it a test that would simulate some of my normal use. I charged it fully before I went to bed then unplugged it from the charger, I woke up to a nearly full battery and I have been using it lightly all day and at this moment I am around %40. No GPS, no video watching and no 4G. Sunday will be the next test of the battery as I will be heading off to work which should give me a chance to test out a little 4g action as well as the mobile hotspot etc etc..

So far I have no regrets about getting this thing. I will let you guys know more about the features as I try them out, if you have anything you want me to check just let me know.

w0oT! Just picked up my new Thunderbolt! Have to mow and spread twenty bails of pine needles right now, so won't have time to play with it until chores are done.

You will enjoy it, do you have 4G where you live?

No 4G, closest city is Charlotte (~ 90 miles south). The Verizon guy said it is planned for this area (Winston Salem) this summer. Charlotte is the only city in NC with it now I believe.

I did a speed test in ORD the other day and the best result was 21621 kbps down and 23270 kpbs up and a 137 ping.

                            Those speeds are awesome.

Man I came so close to getting the Motorola Xoom today, but I'm not going to get a data plan or anything from AT&T. I just want the Xoom with the WiFi and that's it.

                                Duke:

How is the battery life with the thunderbolt? That seems to be the big main bitch in the forum reviews I;ve read so far.

I'd debating getting the thundebolt, droid x, or the upcoming droid bionic. I'd also like to know how tha atrix satcks up, but ATT is pretty bad in my area of operations. Your review is appreciated

Now we have had a lot of flooding in this area and there are still a lot of houses that have not been repaired. Must be the apocalypse.
