Battery life isn't nearly as bad as most reviews claim for the Thunderbolt. As with any device, you want to kill bloated applications that are wanting to update constantly. There are plenty of free 'app killer' apps to choose from to help manage that. I'm using Advanced Task Killer on mine.
My battery goes down about 3/4 from morning until evening, and this is with fairly heavy use as I just got it last Friday and and am still 'playing' with it frequently.
I really don't have any significant complaints about it, other then the bloatware that Verizon pre-installs that you cannot uninstall unless you 'root' it. The texting UI isn't that great, but Duke find an alternative app for that. The music player it comes with could use some improvements as well. I've seen several third party music apps that I'm sure are much better, just haven't tried any of them yet.
