Hey, even if you don't win, you can STILL fry your board and just BUY a new Gigabyte !!! WooHOooooooOOooO !!
What a great contest ... see if you can't damage some stuff, then buy new gear from us !Oh if a man tried to take his time on Earth and prove before he died what one man's life could be worth, well I wonder what would happen to this world ? - Harry Chapin

Starting with a small over clock, nothing fancy, 390FSBx9 = 3510Mhz
Video @ 625x1464x921.
Stock cooler = temps @ 55C load, 35C at idle.

i got it all thew way up to 405x9. after that, it crashed quite frequently. also found out Vista does NOT like overclocking. lol. most of the apps were rendered non functional. after 405x9, i wound up(via coretemp) having the cpu throttle itself to 405x6 90% of the time. i need a better cpu cooler.
Add to that i am not too sure on enough of the specifics. the mobo forced me to enable auto voltage control, which i think borked things up pretty well, and i basically hit a wall @ 405. after a new cooler, i'll have to give it a go again.
What really got me was no matter what i did to the ram divider, the board ALWAYS reported it as running at 400Mhz(ddr2-800) at 405 with a 1:1 it should have been 810, at 390 it should have been 780, but cpu-z always reported at as running @ 800. the divier field changed according to what i set it at.
Whats even more funny is i found out the bios preset the ram 667 instead of 800. its been running at 667 the whole time! gotta try messing weith the ram a bit too according to cpu-z i can run it at 4-5-5-12 with 2.1v but right now its running @ 5-6-6-18 @ 1.8. its the corsair XMS2, so i am quite sure i can pump it higher.
