20 years of innovative Windows malware

Good read if your job is working on friends/family PCs, or even if its your primary job. I remember most of them, scrambling around the campus unplugging PCs or cleaning them outright on the fly.

Its not like the good old days when a Chernobyl virus would wipe your drive. now THAT, kids who don't know, is a VIRUS ! This spyware crap is trying to be profitable by harvesting credit card #s or other personal data, but back then, haxxors wrote stuff that just wiped out EVERYTHING.
Oh if a man tried to take his time on Earth and prove before he died what one man's life could be worth, well I wonder what would happen to this world ? - Harry Chapin

Well yeah, malware these days is much harder to remove and prevent.
#1 reason why is its not crappy code made by kids looking for noteriety. Its paid professional programers with the intent to gain more money from you.

Malware developers actually sell software developer kits that are made to exploit known vulnerabilites in programs.

People called Herders that control bot.nets (groups of infected computers) sell off time on the computers for SPAMers and peeps wants to launch DOS attacks...

The levels that the programs go through to infect your system and insane! If any one wants to see I'll post some logs of infections and the steps the malware took to imbed its self into the OS next week when I'm back at work.

i seemed to have gotten the Alueron virus a few months ago, and was what forced my to reinstall OS on systems. Was nasty thing to get rid of. Made me think i had hardware failure!

Now we have had a lot of flooding in this area and there are still a lot of houses that have not been repaired. Must be the apocalypse.
