Well as some of you know, I was having some retarded connection issues as of late so I got pissed off and did a complete format/reinstall of my rig.

Since the redo, I'm seeing 1.4mb/s DL's on a wireless connection that is 2 floors below the router

I wonder what the issue was...maybe a virus or something

are you on SBC(AT&T)? i had that problem. ATT had my connection bottlenecked i have the Elite package at 6mbps+ they fixed it now i go up to 11mbps. try calling your provider and see if theres anything wrong on their side.

Just an opinion, but instead of a virus, I'd lean toward it being a miscellaneous Windows, software, or DLL configuration confusion that got neatly resolved by your 100% solution.

Im on Rogers (Canada)...it was specific to my system. All other systems in the house inc. Xbox and phones that were connected wireless ha dno issues. I did notice that my OS removed a file that had a Lambot??? I havent googled what that is yet but mabe the issue?
