Gaming Headset - Which one to pick?

Looking around a bit it looks like someone made a plugin that will do PTT or actually PTT and then PTST (push to stop talking). so you push the g key once and it will make the mic an open mic. You push the the key again and it stops. Check out

Sorry bout that Minerva. Some how TS had reverted to an open mic setup that time. I've doubled checked and its set to a keyboard bind.

Think of it this way. You can map a keyboard key to a g button on the headset. So in my case T is bound in TS. In the plugin I've mapped T to the g1 button. If I were to open notepad and press the g1 button a T would show up. Even though a single T shows in note pad it's as if I'm holding the T key down. When I press the G1 again the T key is released.

Has anyone tried any of the Turtle Beach 5.1/7.1 Headsets? I was looking at one at Best Buy today, the DX11. Uses the optical out of your sound card. I didn't really like the looks, but it was comfortable. Wonder how good the sound is.
