I am curious if anyone has used a builder like CyberPower...I have zero problem building myself like every time before this, but they can match newegg's prices assembled, already OC'd (10/20/30%) and with a 3 year guarantee. Would love to hear what people think.

Last pre-built computer I bought was a Dell, and that was 12 years ago... Every computer I have owned since then I have built myself.

What kind of bloatware do the CyberPower computers come with? If they don't put much BS software on the system, it might be worth it.

In my case, I just enjoy putting the thing together...

      Blasphemy! Assemble it yourself!

for me it's the assembling and tweaking that is part of the fun but if the cost is negligible then go for it, I would like to hear how it turns out.

I have recently discovered that I get a lag caused by my CPU when HT is turned off so I would go for the 2600k. I'm running at 2048 x 1152 with everything maxed so that may not be needed in your case but who knows what the next games can do with the extra threads.

      I like the case too.

yeah, i actually enjoy the hands on experience of building the machine. I would pay someone to come over and wire the back of my desk back up though. lol

good build. how much is that card over clocked? some of the cards have wicked good coolers which would allow you to OC further than something pre OC'd out of box. My card is running a lot higher vs what i bought it at or what OC versions of it out of box are.

hd5770 running 950 mhz( stock 850) and 1275 mhz mem( stock 1200). alot of the OC'd versions i was looking at were 875-900/1225/1250.

if you arent worried about pennies here or there, then hell, just go with what ya got

I have used CyberPower before. To be honest they are just like anyone building a computer for themselves. The only thing they do right is cable management, they are simply great at it. All in all it's just about $150 over what you would pay to assemble it yourself. However, you get a full warranty on parts and labor.

And I was building my "dream" rig today. It came out about 3500 bucks. So for now, it remains a dream. Mostly because my current rig parts will sell for 20 bucks on ebay...

Sweet rig! I'd probably go along with what the others are saying on the build aspect, just to know what exactly is installed on it and that things like the thermalpaste and such are done with care. But if the guys have a 3 year warranty and you have a list of the parts that will be used, it doesn't sound like a bad deal, either.

As a kid I used to love putting together model airplanes and ships. I even did the old sailing ships with cloth sails. As a teenager I was into rebuilding muscle cars. For a living I work on jewelery.
Do you think I like building my own computers???

The list is ready and set at NewEgg. I love building. Have done plenty of them and that is my first choice.

Sorry I even mentioned CyberPower...since that seems to have taken away the discussion on my parts list....now we are talking model airplanes.

I would be very grateful if anyone has comments on the parts list.

BA, check out the just-released Corsair 650D case. I found it yesterday and it seems awesome in every way.

I'm considering Cyberpower as one of my options when I finally can get a new PC. I found the same as you in recent pricing--they pretty much match what we can find at cost via Newegg pricing and they'll do all the work. The board seems good and is high up on my list (when I surf for parts, I tend to look for reviews. Helps kill time at work... ). I can't comment on the SSD. I'm not able to swing one in any of my pricing, and am looking at dual RAID 1 options instead, prime and backup sets. I probably can't buy new until next year when SSDs are probably in my range, but until then I'm not looking at them.

My current box is a Velocity Micro custom job. Superb build quality, extraordinarily happy with them overall. I'd go with them again in a heartbeat, but at the moment they're limiting their customization options and I can't find a 2500K build with a non-silver case.

I was going to get the 650D before I found the RV02E. It is a nice case, a little smaller than the 700D.

Only things I changed were to upgrade to the 2600K and I went with a closed circuit liquid cooler from Asetek (they make the Corsair H50/H60/H70, Alienware and Asus liquid coolers) instead of the Thermaltake Frio.
