I'll run all this stuff by him, he plays one game and only a few business apps so speed would be better then capacity.

oh, and by the way....that P67 MoBo is already obsolete.

I ordered mine on Monday...and just called and cancelled and replaced with the Z68 that rolled out today

I will have to read up on these or catch up on my mac pc podcast. Maybe this will cause a drop on the older boards.

Hmmm I hadn't heard of the Z68. I wonder what advantage it has over P67.

Do you actually need the motherboard power extension cable with this setup?

I'm not sure, but I have read several reviews of the PSU the required it, better safe then sorry. I also like that it is black so I will probably throw that one in the Vascetamator. I also probably don't need that thermal paste but I will havr it just in case. I want to be sure I send it to him in a low maintenance condition.

I assembled this bad boy played a round of BC2 on it and OCed it to 4.4 with the easy turbo software that comes with the MB. All I need to do now is clean up the wres a bit.

The case was nicely designed but as you can see the holes for the wires make routing the power cables a bit of a pain, that 24 pin one is a bear. The tooless assembly was supporsing solid except or the DVD drive, I had to put a few screws in there. The motherboard is nicely laid out and it all went together smoothly and the Gigabyte software is easy to use. This thing is super quiet too.

The only problem I have is getting the damn mic to work. I have had trouble getting the mics to work on every damn PC I have built so far so you think they would make it easier.

personally i find that PSU set up odd. the mount, not your wiring.
other that that looks nice and simple. good airflow should keep everything cool .

I was worried about the PSU mount as well infamous but its solid as a rock and because all the contact parts are rubber it's quiet too. I tidied up the wiring a bit...

I have ordered a 140mm fan and the rubber mounts for it to give a little more flow out the top and that should do it.
