            That would be the natural way, but in our society government assistance unnaturally prolongs their lives to rival that of healthy, independent individuals.

              Man, I don't mean to offend anyone, but if I'd been using a macApple all the years I wouldn't have learned !@#$. There are a couple of Apple die hards where I am now and they crack me up. They want to be called system administrators, but every time they try to do something on a linux or Unix system they looks so so lost without a GUI. I've been laughing my butt off at them because they launch a freaking file browser GUI in Redhat because they can't navigate from command prompt.
