    Android Tablets

Well, it's been over a month since I got my Motorola Xoom WiFi edition and I have to say I love it.

It is so handy to have a powerful laptop device without the laptop. Getting use to the screen enter action is key. They one part that has made it easier is a keyboard I downloaded called Thumb Keyboard. This thing was worth more than what they guy is charging.

The power of the dual core 1GHz is great I can't imagine what it's going to be in a year or two.

For anyone looking at going this route for portability I highly recommend it. Not as much the Xoom but an Android tablet at least. Notice I haven't said I recommend the iPad because I don't. Apple is doing too many things to lock you in to their style, once again, they are going to lose.

I do not understand Android Tablets (Apple is out of the question do to me not being a douche). The Xoom can do exactly the same as my Samsung Vibrant. It's just a bigger screen. However it does make it great if you're into reading books and such. I am personally waiting for a real Windows 7 Tablet. That HP slate is laggy and underpowered. I can really use that dual core CPU though.

The browser in Honeycomb is much better, the size for browsing in general is much better. You are correct that the phone can do pretty much what the tablets can, but it does make sitting around and doing the same stuff much easier cause you are not straining the eyes at all. The firefox 4 mobile browser is pretty good and the stock browser with the Xoom is chrome so I synced up my favorites with it.

The firefox browser has much potential, I downloaded a few weeks ago to test drive (HTC Thunderbolt). It's a bit buggy and a HUGE memory hog so I'm not using it but am keeping an eye open for updates. UI and functionality is much better then stock browser.

Nvidia is supposed to have some of their quad core "Kel el" chips out around August.

I have read some articles about how Amazon has two tablets coming soon. One "entry level" with dual core, and a quad core tablet due out later.

Now we have had a lot of flooding in this area and there are still a lot of houses that have not been repaired. Must be the apocalypse.
