    Mice for big dudes.

The friend of mine that I have built a computer is a big guy, 7' tall, so are there any mice out there that are better then others?

I am a big dude, vertical and horizontal-wise, and hated All of Logitech's Mice. Razer's DeathAdder and Microsoft's Habu are huge and I owned about 4 of them. Razer mice don't live for more than a year.

Thanks, I will probably have him go the BB so he can actually try out a few and I will mention this.

He should look a the RAT mice. They are really customizable. Get great reviews too.

I will definitely try that Cyborg once my Razer dies. Which should be pretty soon.

I'm fairly large 6'2" and after spilling beer in my G5 I picked up a rat 7. So far I like it. Although it's built so you rest all three of your fingers on the mouse (it has a pinky rest too). I'm still getting used to operating the scroll wheel with my middle finger. Over all I like the mouse and it is fairly customizable.

Your big mitts are obviously killing them. No issues with my ageing Razer DeathAdder.

Wait... Plus a thumb? Or counting the thumb?

The G9 is the same way. Took me a little time to get used to the different shape, but I like it now.

Let me clarify ... The Rat 7 has a thumb rest with three buttons. Two of the buttons are stand B5 and B6. The third button is a push and hold to drop the dpi setting down to a limit you set in software. I used this when I jump in a turret I crank the dpi on my mouse to max. If I then spot a target it I can press this with my thumb to drop the dpi down to 400 or whatever giving me more fine grain control. The Rat 7 is wide I believe its made so you would rest your POINTER, INDEX and RING FINGERS across the LB,scroll wheel and RB. I'm use to smaller mice where my pointer finger does double duty on LB and scroll wheel. So I'm still figuring this out. I'm also trying the pinky rest as well although you can take that off.

Mapes I'm reading reviews where people are having problems with the cursor moving around a lot abn theses reviewers have also said the support was terrible. Have you seen this cursor movement or have you tried to call their tech support?

I figured you would have mentioned any problem just checking, if it were for me I would have pulled the trigger on it but I wen ahead and got him a G500 and told him if he doesn't like it he could send it back to me and I would get him another one. I want the first PC I make for somebody to be as reliable as possible.

                            Thanks

Now we have had a lot of flooding in this area and there are still a lot of houses that have not been repaired. Must be the apocalypse.
