Crossfire set up

I was wanting you guys input on a delimma i'm having. I have a brand new 5770 used for about 5 min and put back in the box cause it wasnt able to do any better than the GTX 275 I have. But, when BF3 comes out I was thinkin about running Crossfire and getting one more 5770 card. Few months from now 5770's will be going for cheap.

My question is, will the performance be there with that setup vs. a single GPU that will probably come down in price as well. I wont upgrade until then. Not really a need just yet. I think if everyone holds out til the last minute we might be able to get better deals on the cards we are wanting.

i had a lot of luck comparing set ups by just typing desired results into google .

Crossfire 5770 vs. ????

this was just after a quick scan. shows performance in BF:BC2. looks like CF 5770 just beat out a gtx 470.
not as good as some of the newer ATI, and nvidia.

I think the convention wisdom is that you get the best single card that you can afford then a year later you can SLI/CF for an upgrade.

Single card would always be my preference.

Do you have DSR (Distance Selling Regs) or similar in the US cobalt? I'd send the card back and then decided whether to go single or dual later in the year.

Some are 30 day some are 10 depends on the vendor. But I picked this card up in Thailand, so it's beyond everything.
