anyone use game pads on the PC?

after reading reviews, the game/s " the force: unleashed" it boils down to if you want to play them on a PC, you need an xbox/playstation like controller.
Any of you all use one? this is the cheapest of the logitech models. just looking for opinions.

I bought this one a year or so ago so Mini could play lego indy on a PC and it worked fine.

I never did like the PS controllers. Since I play on the Xbox360, I love the layout and feel on the 360 controllers. I have my dongle for around 2 years. Never have any problems. I use it when I play Black ops, Mafia II, Metro 2033 on PC. (Havent try it on Duke Nukem Forever yet)


But for whatever reason as one can see from the reviews, alot of these dongles have some kind of issues. I've been lucky (Knock on wood)

I have 3 wireless 360 controllers that I use to play NBA 2k, other sports games, and for local coop games with brothers or friends.

As Caddys said, the wireless receiver is crap. One lasted a year and another lasted 2 weeks before I learned how to fix them by doing a little soldering.

Ha, last time I had one of those in my hand I was playing Mario carts with my kids.

I wouldnt even attempt to use one of those on a shooter. Waste of time,effort and money.
