i have heard , i think someone said it here. that having your OS on a drive larger than 1TB was not good. maybe its too big?

i wish i could find that post.

i made a thread last week or so ranking every card out there. actual benchmarks, not just paper numbers. check your card on there.

i just checked. your card benchmarks much better than mine, so that should not be the issue( unless its driver related, you updated right?)

so since you have this bad boy network card, id guess its somewhere related to your HDD. after skimming a few articles, and i mean quick skim, it seems as if TB + drives are more for storage. i do not wish to delve into the world of HDD reading right now, lol, sorry. more to come.

Have you already (within the last few months) installed the latest ATI video drivers. Old ATI drivers have caused startup delays for some people.

i noticed these new drivers caused quite a bit of heat increase. i am running about 10 deg. F hotter.

Games require the latest video drivers, but over heating isn't good. I wonder if ATI/AMD changed their fan speed thresholds to reduce noise.

my card still within acceptable levels. just a lot more than it was 1 month ago. My only guess is the drivers.

I'm on my phone so I can't search but there was an issue with the version of DirectX you are using. I had to force a different version and my load time's wentfrom zero to hero.

A clean hdd and updated drivers are also important regardless of load times.

hmm...ok cool...will try some of these fixes , starting with direct x i guess...Not really sure how to get my OS to another drive anyway...the only other one I have is my pics and video drive thats one TB also...Do you think I need to swap back to direct X 10? by the way, thanks for all the help guys

The DirectX fix is the simplest but I would also clean out your hdd with a program like ccleaner and do a proper drive update whig would include using a program like driver steeper to remove any bits of the old one.
